It’s encouraging to see more trials of affordable mobility solutions from local councils. This seven-month trial was launched recently by Toowoomba Council, and the subsidy will be available to those with limited mobility. Residents over 60, people with disability and eligible carers can access the $2 cab fare once every week when travelling from their homes to the local shopping centres. A return trip will cost $4 in total.
